Rates for use of microscopes
User fees for access to the microscopes are estimated on the basis of maintenance costs only. In order to allow scientists to use CFIM as their imaging department, we offer several types of discounts on the basic rates. Working at night or during weekends, performing long experiments or using extensively our microscopes entitle you to discounts.
Discounts apply only to academic users. The different discounts are not cumulative. Accordingly, the highest discount is 50% of the listed rate. In case several discounts could apply to a booking, the most advantageous one to the user will be used.
Nights and weekends
During nights (18:00-8:00), and on weekends and bank holidays, a discount rate of 50% is applied.
Long experiments
When a booking exceeds 6 hours, subsequent hours, from 6 to 12 hours, are discounted 25%. Subsequent hours, following 12 hours usage, are discounted 50%.
Extensive usage
When an individual user exceeds a microscope(s) usage of DKK 3.500 within the last 30 days, the subsequent usage will be discounted 20%. When exceeding a usage of DKK 5.500 within the last 30 days, the subsequent hours will be discounted 40% (See graph under).
CFIM basic rates depend on your affiliation; Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen (SUND), any other faculty or university (Visiting academia) or commercial companies (Commercial visitors).
The fees in the table represent the fee per hour (unless otherwise stated), on week days between 8:00 and 18:00, without support nor discount.
