Wellcome Photography Prize 2019

Do you create images that could stimulate conversations about the health challenges of our time?

Wellcome invites researchers, photographers and image makers from all disciplines to enter the Wellcome Photography Prize, which celebrates compelling imagery that captures stories of health, medicine and science.
Previously the Wellcome Image Awards, Wellcome’s newly relaunched competition will reward pictures that show the importance of health in society and the impact health issues have on people and communities worldwide.

Call for entries are now open across four new categories including “Hidden worlds – reveal details hidden to the naked eye” and “Outbreaks – capture the impact of disease as it spreads”. Showcase your work to new audiences and inspire others to see health, medicine and science in a different way. Images can be created using any imaging technique for example, microscopy, medical imaging, photography, artistic media, data visualisation and new and emerging imaging technologies.

For a chance to win prizes up to £15,000 and be part of a public exhibition in London in 2019, enter online for free no later than 17 December 2018.

Researchers have been very successful in this competition in the past so why not have a go?
